Air movers accelerate evaporation from wet surfaces. Dehumidifiers remove moisture from the air so it does not reabsorb into materials. Placement depends on room layout, material types, and humidity conditions.

Equipment runs continuously until drying targets are met. Turning equipment off early can restart moisture problems inside walls.

Monitoring proves the structure is dry

Technicians take moisture readings at established points daily and adjust equipment as needed. The goal is to reach dry standard for each material type, not simply to run fans for a fixed number of days.

Documentation of readings supports insurance review and confirms when demolition or reconstruction can proceed safely.

When materials cannot be dried in place

Some assemblies trap water with no practical drying path. In those cases, controlled removal of baseboards, drywall, or flooring is part of the drying plan, not a failure of the process.
